Finance should not stop at reporting what happened.
My background is in finance, commercial analysis, project performance and management reporting. Over more than twenty years, my work has moved from producing reliable numbers towards helping management understand what those numbers mean — and what to do about them.
How my work has evolved
- Finance foundation Reliable reporting, controls and a clear view of the numbers.
- Commercial and performance thinking Understanding the margin, cost and commercial terms behind the results.
- Management decision support Turning analysis into questions, owners and actions.
- Digital finance, automation & AI Using technology to make finance faster, more reliable and more useful.
What finance should help management answer
- What changed?
- Why?
- What is the financial impact?
- What could happen next?
- What action should management take?
Why I build these projects
The projects on this site put that idea into practice. Each one starts from a management question — what are we committing to in a contract, where is margin leaking, which project is deteriorating — and builds the finance logic first. Technology is the lever, not the point.
Finance first. Technology as leverage.
Good finance still depends on judgment, commercial understanding and accountability. Data, automation and AI make that judgment faster and better informed. They do not replace it.
